Dr Wilson is an adult psychiatrist whose research interests include the use of neuromodulation to alleviate psychiatric illness. Her expertise spans various forms of clinically available brain stimulation modalities including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), vagus nerve stimulation (VNS), and emerging technologies. She is especially interested in the development of novel TMS protocols, investigating clinical attributes and biomarkers for clinical TMS response to help inform better decisions for patients. Her other line of inquiry is optimizing the development of neuromodulation technologies by exploring the ethics, treatment access, and factors impacting health care decision making and technology adoption to promote successful translational science.
