UMN Brain Awareness Week

Event Date:

MnDRIVE Brain Conditions

Monday, March 15, 2021 - 7:00am to Friday, March 19, 2021 - 5:00pm

MnDRIVE Brain Conditions is participating in virtual events planned for Brain Awareness Week. Brain Awareness Week is a global campaign to foster public enthusiasm and support for brain science. There are many events scheduled throughout the week. Since school visits are on hold this year we're focusing on building bridges between departments and centers on campus that do brain research. Check out the BAW website for more information regarding the Poetry Contest, Coloring Contest, and participating in Open Lab Meetings as well as links to events happening all over campus. Other events that are taking place are neural networking events on Tuesday and Friday evenings. On Friday, March 19th at 11 am the Bell Museum is hosting a live virtual event with Anita Randolph, Ph.D., who is the Director of Community Engagement and Education for the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain. She will be giving a free presentation where you can learn about the developing brain.

The goal for the featured events is to welcome undergraduates from departments all over campus who are interested in brain research but either (1) don't know how to get started making connections to people already doing research or (2) have questions about exactly what kind of research they want to do.

If you have any questions please reach out to Karrie Molitor ([email protected]).
