Congratulations to Sophia Vinogradov, who was recently presented the V. Sagar Sethi, M.D. Mental Health Research Award. The award was created to “honor a scientist for significant contributions to basic research in the neurosciences, psychology, or pharmacology at a molecular, cellular or behavioral level.” Sophia received the award during the October 2, 2022, meeting of the North Carolina Psychiatric Association. The late Dr. Sethi, who endowed the award, was a longtime psychiatrist in Charlotte and member of the North Carolina Psychiatric Association.
