Rahma is a raising senior at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. She is majoring in Biology, Society and Environment with a minor in Sociology. She is committed to becoming a medical doctor and is interested in issues impacting her local community such as addiction, homelessness, and health equity. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Dr. Guedes and gain a deeper understanding opioid use disorder. She is looking forward to the chance to meet likeminded peers and further develop her professional skills. She will engage in pre-clinical studies involving opioid use disorder using pigs and rabbits as animal models. She will learn about opioid pharmacology, respiratory physiology, anesthesiology, and immunology.
