Dr. Miranda-Dominquez is our second MnDRIVE Early Career Research Skills Development Awardee for Faculty Underrepresented in Medicine and Science (UIM) and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics affiliated with the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain. His training and expertise include the fields of neuroimaging, electrophysiology, control engineering, and clinical/translational research. His research goal is to characterize typical and atypical brain development to identify biomarkers of developmental disorders at their earlier manifestations and to use mathematical modeling as an aid in the development of individualized neuromodulation treatments. This award will enable him to establish successful collaborations and develop skills in neuromodulation research and clinical trials, all of which are necessary to apply neuromodulation treatments for pediatric mental illness.
