Last Friday, October 17th, the MnDRIVE Brain Conditions team had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) Fall Conference in Duluth, Minnesota. It was a successful and inspiring event where we were able to connect directly with the Parkinson’s community, including patients, caregivers, and advocates.
Throughout the day, our team shared information about ongoing research, clinical advances, and community resources available through the University of Minnesota, UMN Udall Center of Excellence for Parkinson's Disease Research, and MnDRIVE Brain Conditions program. We were honored to provide valuable materials and engage in meaningful conversations about living with and managing Parkinson’s disease.
A highlight of the event was a presentation by MnDRIVE Brain Conditions Scholar, Dr. David Darrow, who was one of the featured speakers. Dr. Darrow shared the history of neuromodulation and insights from his innovative research and clinical work, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between scientists, clinicians, and the community to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
We’re grateful to the APDA - Minnesota Chapter for organizing such an impactful event and for inviting us to be part of it. We look forward to continuing our partnership and supporting individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease across Minnesota.
