The MnDRIVE Brain Conditions team extends our heartfelt gratitude and best wishes to Mia Kellman, Research Professional with the Non-invasive Neuromodulation Laboratories (NNL) Research Core, as she begins an exciting new chapter in her journey. This fall, Mia will be pursuing her dream of becoming a physician by attending medical school at the University of Minnesota. Her last day with us will be on July 15th.
Since joining the NNL in 2021, Mia has been an integral member of the research core, providing equipment training, technical expertise, and data collection support for investigators utilizing the laboratory's state-of-the-art neuromodulation facilities. Her commitment to excellence has helped researchers across the University of Minnesota advance innovative studies focused on understanding and treating neurological and psychiatric conditions through non-invasive brain stimulation.
Beyond her technical expertise, Mia has been known for her kindness, professionalism, and unwavering willingness to support colleagues, students, and research participants alike. Whether assisting investigators with complex research protocols, helping train new users on specialized equipment, participating in community outreach, or welcoming visitors into the laboratory, Mia consistently represented the collaborative spirit that defines the Non-invasive Neuromodulation Laboratories. Her enthusiasm for advancing neuroscience and improving the lives of individuals living with brain conditions has left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to work alongside her.
Mia's passion for medicine and research has always been evident, making her transition to medical school a natural next step. We have no doubt that she will bring the same compassion, curiosity, and dedication to patient care that she has demonstrated throughout her time with the NNL.
While we will certainly miss Mia's positive energy and countless contributions to the MnDRIVE Brain Conditions community, we are incredibly proud of all she has accomplished and excited to see what she will achieve in the years ahead.
