Medicine Fellow
Jeremy Chaikind, M.D., Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. Mentor is Ziad Nahas, M.D., Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences.
Dr. Chaikind is our fourth MnDRIVE Neuromodulation in Medicine Fellow. He has been excited by the clinical potential of neuromodulatory interventions for mental illness and passionate about improving their availability to patients. He believes that developing neuromodulation training for psychiatry students and residents is an essential way to expand access to these lifesaving treatments. Through this fellowship, he plans to deepen his understanding of these therapies through close collaboration with researchers exploring their underlying neurobiology and colleagues in neurology, neurosurgery, and anesthesia who help to implement them clinically. He hopes to integrate these experiences in neuromodulation with his interest in medical education to become a better clinician educator.
