The MnDRIVE Brain Conditions Noninvasive Neuromodulation Lab (NNL) research core recently hosted its Summer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Training Group, offering two hands-on workshops at the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain (MIDB) on August 20th and 27th. Clinical research staff and students from departments across the University participated, making it a collaborative effort to strengthen skill sets and boost confidence with neuromodulation technology.
These practical, team-based sessions were designed to enhance familiarity with TMS lab equipment, safety protocols, and neuromodulation processes. By working directly with tools and procedures used in active research, attendees gained valuable knowledge that supports high-quality, consistent, and safe clinical research practices.
Efforts like this training group represent a key part of the Neuromodulation Hub’s mission—building expertise, supporting collaboration, and elevating research standards across the University. By investing in hands-on learning, the Hub continues to help ensure that researchers are well-prepared to advance innovative brain science and improve outcomes for participants and communities.
