Medical School Honors Sophia Vinogradov and David Redish with Distinguished Lectureship Award

Vinogradov & Redish

MnDRIVE members Sophia Vinogradov and David Redish spoke at the Dean’s Distinguished Research Lectureship (DDRL) last week at Northrop Auditorium.

Each year, the Medical School Department Heads nominate two faculty members, one from their department and one from another department in the Medical School. Sophia Vinogradov and David Redish were selected from the nominees as representing the best research faculty in the basic and clinical sciences. They each told their research stories at the event.

Vinogradov’s research lab tracks brain changes with cognitive training in patients with schizophrenia. Redish’s group examines how learning and memory give rise to behavior and seeks to explain dysfunctional decision-making systems such as addiction.
