Dr. Robert Lowe II started his fellowship on July 1, 2024. Dr. Lowe II is our fifth MnDRIVE Neuromodulation Medicine Fellow.
He is interested in using various neuromodulation methods to help patients with movement disorders improve their quality of life. He is particularly focused on the placement and programming of deep brain stimulators to help those with Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, and dystonia. In addition, he is passionate about education and strives to improve training and exposure to neuromodulation amongst residents and medical students.
Following his fellowship he will be staying at the University of Minnesota to complete a fellowship in Movement Disorders and ultimately hopes to bridge the gap between neuromodulation in psychiatry and neurology in order to provide better treatments for his patients in the future.
